FAQ

The star labels don’t line up with the real stars. Your phone’s compass may be affected by nearby metal or magnets. Step away from cars and buildings, then move your phone in a figure 8 a few times to recalibrate.

It says “Demo mode”. Motion sensors aren’t available. You can drag the screen to move the sky.

What if I don’t allow location access? The app shows the sky over Sedona, Arizona. You can allow it later in Settings → Lodestar → Location.

Where are my records stored? Can I move them to a new iPhone? Records and photos are stored only on this iPhone. They are carried over as app data with iCloud Backup or iPhone-to-iPhone transfer.

How do I delete my records? My Universe → gear icon → Delete all records. To delete one record, open it and tap Delete record.

Clouds shows “—”. Cloud forecasts need an internet connection. Star identification works offline.

How do I change the language? My Universe → gear icon → Language. Choose Japanese, English, or Match iPhone setting.
